A bold and luxurious continuation of the Lexus NX plug-in hybrid’s triumph, the Lexus TX is made in the U.S. and leverages the same battery platform as the Lexus Range. As with most plug-in hybrids currently, the battery size is increased to 18 kw and has a large on-board charging capacity (this is how quickly the charger can accept power for charging the battery from the EV Charger). Featuring an extra perk of a third row seat and exceptional fuel efficiency, the Lexus TX PHEV is poised for success in the U.S. market and competes succefully in the the three row luxury plug in hybrid segment. Charge times with a high power 240 volt charger and can be charged around 2.5 hours.
Buyers for plug-in hybrid tend to use both level 1 and level 2 Lexus NX EV chargers, depending on their needs. All our EV chargers are compatible with the J1772 type, catering to the Lexus TX plug-in hybrid. To optimize charging time and fully utilize the car’s EV battery, we recommend a 40amp EV charger like our NEMA 14-50 or NEMA 6-50 level 2 EV chargers. This will maximize charging speeds and reduce your gasoline costs
