Chrysler introduced their plug-in hybrid Pacifica as the first cargo sized EV. It provides an EPA estimated 520 mile total range with break generation and an impressive 32 miles all-electric range. It switches seamlessly between gas and electric with a range of appearance packages. The Chrysler Pacifica comes with a 6.6 KW on board charger (how fast you can charge the car) and a 16 KWH batter (how large the battery is). Given these factors, you may be able to wait the extra time for a level one chargers or use exiting EV plugs such as a NEMA 14-30 plug which provide more than adequate charging speeds for a plug-in hybrid, and so avoid the costs and permits of larger direct wire EV wall boxes. We provide a range of Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid EV chargers. If you don’t plan on upgrading your EV any time soon, then a level 1 NEMA 5-15 (regular residential plug) will work well. If you plan on upgrading your EV in the future, a level 2 NEMA 40 amp 14-50 or NEMA 6-50 TOTALEV charger will charge this car at its fastest charge rate and will also provide a much faster charger for your next plug-in or pure electric vehicle.
