Audi recently revamped its plug-in hybrid in 2017 with its full electric version Audi A3 Sportback e-Tron. The plug-in Audi A3 e-Tron had a battery size of 8.8 kWh (a small battery to “fill” or charge) which was fine for level 1 overnight charging. As the sizes of batteries increase and on-board charging speeds increase (how quickly you can charge the car), level 2 EV chargers such as our TOTALEV NEMA 14-50 level 2 J1772 charger and the NEMA 6-50 level 2 J1772 charger that are 240 volt charging are better portable charging options.
