This adapter is so a Tesla owner can use a J1772 charging station, J1772 wall charger or J1772 portable chargers and charge their Tesla.  It converts the U.S. standard SAE J1772 Adaptor to a Tesla charger (110-250V,60A) allowing you to turn J1772 U.S. standard charger into a Tesla charger.   The adaptor allows a Tesla owner to tap into the wide network of standard, non-Tesla charging stations.  This is great for when all the Tesla charging stations are full or if you want to use a non-Tesla charger at home and convert it to Tesla use. Just connect the Tesla charger to our J1772 adapter and plug it into your electric vehicle to enjoy level 1 or faster level 2 charging!
