The Hyundai Ioniq 5 hit the market as a pure electric vehicle with style to match. It won the world car design of the year! The pure electric model Hyundai Ioniq 5 is currently available with two battery options – 58kWh and 72.6 kWh (this latter gives you an extended all electric driving range) and is fitted with an 11 kW on-board charger for Type 2 AC charging as standard. We provide both level 1 (slower) and level 2 (faster charges) all with J1772 connectors for your Hyundai Ioniq 5. As with most electric vehicles, we recommend our fastest level 2 chargers to limit charge times for your Hyundai Ioniq 5. Our recommended EV plug install is a NEMA 14-50 level 2 electric charger. We recommend our TOTALEV™ NEMA 14-50 40 amp since it provides the fastest available plug-in charge (~10 kwh) and will charge the vehicle in 10-11 hours from empty. Given most EV owners top up the battery at 50%, charge times are typically 4-6 hours and are best done after 6pm when electricity is much cheaper.
