The Countryman was Mini’s foray into a plug-in hybrid version of the famous Mini. Based on feedback, this version of the Mini has a 15-17 mile all electric drive range and has a more grown-up SUV look for the market. The Countryman comes with an 8-kWh battery pack and a charge acceptance (how fast the battery can receive power) of 3.3 kWh. A level 1 Mini Cooper Countryman EV charger is recommended for this car given the battery size and acceptance rate of the battery. We would recommend a regular NEMA 5-15 (standard 3 pin residential plug) EV charger.
