The Kia Niro 2022 plug-in hybrid enjoys a number of upgrades compared to its pre 2022 version. The new version comes with a plug-in hybrid range of 105 MPGe and a significant 33 miles all electric range. We are Kia EV owners and this is a significant improvement in terms of all-electric driving range compared to most plug-in hybrids at around 40% more all-electric range. The Kia car app provides plenty of great information on charging, charge times, setting charging and is better than information from other 3rd party apps since it pulls the information directly from the car app and syncs seamlessly with other features on the Kia app. The drive and design of Kia Niro’s is solid and in addition to best-in-class fuel efficiency, features a larger cargo space. Given the battery size and expected charging speeds (how fast you can charge the battery), we would recommend our TOTALEV NEMA 14-50 EV plug and charger type, which will provide the fastest charge available for your Kira Niro and also futureproof you if you upgrade to an all-electric EV in the future.
