The Ford 150 lightening is the most anticipated EV truck launch (probably even more so than the Chevrolet Silverado all EV truck). The F150 Lightning extended range has a larger battery and a battery with a much faster charge rate (19.2KWh acceptance). This cannot be charged to its maximum charging speed using regular level 2 240-250-volt chargers and requires a solar panel and power bank installation to provide the required charge. For the regular F150 lightning (the standard-range 98 kWh) battery pack, this has an 11.3 kW on-board charger.
