Stellantis introduces a revamped version of the iconic European minicar, the Fiat 500e. It has been to date the only Fiat electric version on the market. With an estimated 149 combined miles of range, this model features a substantial 42-kilowatt hour battery—a significant upgrade from the older 24 kWh battery. The new on-board EV charger boasts an 11 kW capacity, a notable improvement compared to the prior model’s 6 kW charger which resulted in slow charge times. Given the larger battery and enhanced charging capability with 11 killowats per hour, we recommend utilizing a Level 2 EV charger for the Fiat 500e. Among our selection, the NEMA 14-50 or NEMA 6-50 Level 2 chargers stand out as the most suitable options for this upgraded minicar to maximize speed charge times.
