This Volvo XC90 T8 is a beautiful, stylish SUV. One of the unique features of vehicle is that a T8 running in electric mode is rear wheel drive. The EV battery enjoyed some capacity gains in 2020, which was the biggest hardware upgrade for 2020. It has a 12-kWh battery on board charger and the vehicle is supplied with a standard level 1 residential charger. We supply a range of level 1 and level 2 Volvo XC90 T8 plug-in hybrid EV chargers. As with most plug-in hybrid, the car is powered by a smaller battery. As such level 1 or level 2 EV chargers work well with this vehicle. If you don’t plan on upgrading your EV any time soon, then a level 1 NEMA 5-15 (regular residential plug) will work well. If you plan on upgrading your EV in the future, a level 2 NEMA 40 amp 14-50 or NEMA 6-50 TOTALEV charger will charge this car at its fastest charge rate and will also provide a much faster charger for your next plug-in or pure electric vehicle.
