The Hyundai Ioniq is a plug-in hybrid option to its all-electric brother the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Owners like the excellent fuel economy and respectable all-electric range (some plugs-in offer such a low electric range, it isn’t worth the extra cost). The Hyundai Ioniq plug was introduced as part of the first Ioniq generation in 2017 and is a nice step towards full electric ownership. If you don’t plan on upgrading your EV any time soon, then a level 1 NEMA 5-15 (regular residential plug) will work well. If you plan on upgrading your EV in the future, a level 2 NEMA 40 amp 14-50 or NEMA 6-50 TOTALEV charger will charge this car at its fastest charge rate and will also provide a much faster charger for your next plug-in or pure electric vehicle
