The Nissan Ariya is the much-awaited all-electric SUV to enter the market and compete with the Kia EV, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ford Mach-e. The Ariya is an all-electric crossover SUV with the VENTURE+ Extended Range offering up to a 300-mile all-electric EPA estimated range. The Ariya is Nissan’s second mainstream EV model following on from the Leaf hatchback. The vehicle comes with a 65 KWh standard lithium-ion battery and a battery acceptance rate of 7.4 kWh, which is on the lower end in terms of charging speeds i.e., how much charger per hour the battery can take. The best plug-in EV charger is either a NEMA 14-30 24-amp 5.8 kWh TOTALEV charger since it supplies close to the maximum charging speed (roughly an 11-hour charge time from empty or 5.5 hours from 50% battery charge, which is in practice when most EV owners charge) or a NEMA 14-50 32-amp 7.4 kWh Nissan Ariya ENDURAEV charger. It will charge at 7.2 kWh at almost the same acceptance rate of the Nissan Ariya all-electric, resulting in a charge time from empty of roughly 8.5 hours or 4.25 hours from 50% battery charge. The Nissan Ariya is the much-awaited all-electric SUV to enter the market and compete with the Kia EV, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ford Mach-e.
